Through the Looking Glass Children’s Book Reviews is the sister site to Children’s Book Writing Services. I am the editor and publisher of the site, reviewing dozens of books each month and presenting the reviews in a magazine format. I recommend that aspiring authors take a look at this, or other book review websites, so that they can become familiar with what is happening in the children’s book world.

This website is also a fabulous resource for teachers, home schoolers, parents, grandparents, librarians and children. As of now, there are over 4,000 book reviews on the site as well as feature pages, author and illustrator profiles, and much more. I only write positive reviews.

In addition to the Through the Looking Glass Children’s Book Review site, I also write a regular Children’s Book Blog about all things related to children’s books (plus an occasional non-book story). This blog is also a good resource for the aspiring author or illustrator.

I invite you to visit the blog, and I hope that you will join in the dialog.

“As a beginner children’s writer with many questions and concerns, Marya Jansen-Gruber was there to help. When I submit my manuscripts, they are returned quickly with valuable information about ways to improve the context, strengthen the characters and make the story run more smoothly. She is extremely knowledgeable and helpful in many areas and has gone out of her way to assist. You will not be disappointed. It is like working with a friend and her suggestions and improvements are right on the money.” —Patricia Brazzell, Nashville USA
